DepEd Secretary expressed his confidence that the government can make basic education accessible to all by 2015. In his speech during 5th Mindanao Educators Congress, he said that even it is difficult to meet the target, he is optimistic that teachers in the country can achieve it. He added “there are still have more things to do if we want the Education for all available by 2015.

The DepEd's target is 94% participation rate of students in Elementary while 72% rate in High School. DepED also aiming to meet the goal which is 81% survival rate for Elem and 90% for HS students. reference

Meanwhile, the Comelec earlier said they need about 400,000 public school teachers for this coming automated election. They said the number hours to be spent by the teachers will greatly reduce due to computerized election. On the other hand, honorarium fee for teachers who will serve this coming election do not have deduction.
