Guidelines for the 2011 Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency Test


Starting 2011, the Alternative Learning System will offer 2 sets of Accreditation and Equivanlency Test - Set A (Paper and Pencil) for the sighted test takers and Set B (Braille) for the visually impaired. Both tests are in 2 levels - elementary and secondary, to be administered in 203 Divisions nationwide in 4 waves on the following dates.


Wave1 Set A - Oct 2 Set B oct 3 covers Region 9, and up
Wave1 Set A - Oct 09 Set B Oct 10 Reg 5,6,7,8
Wave3 Set A - Oct 16 Set B Oct 17 Reg 1,2, 3 and CAR
Wave4 Set A - Oct 23 Set B Oct 24 Reg 4A and 4B and NCR

Activities to be undertaken for the ALS A&E Test Registration and Administration are schedule as follows

Submission (to BALS) of Official Testing Centers from the Region - Set A - June 16
Test Registration Period Set A June 20 - July 30
Submission (to BALS) of Officials Masterlist of Test Takers from the Division (SET A) - Aug 12
Regional Orientation on ALS A&E Test Registration (SET A) - June 16
Divison Orientation on ALS A&E Test Administration - Oct 1,8 15 and 22 (SET A - am and Set B for pm)
