Guidelines on the Screening of the 4th Yr HS student applicants who take the 2011 National Career Assessment Examination for CHED Tesda Scholarship Programs
The Department of Education has issued DepED Memo No. 153. S 2011 entitled changes to DepED Order No 28 s. 2011 (Calendar of Actyivities for SY 2011- 2012) and DepEd Memo No. 270 . S 2007 (Administration of the NCAE) to All 4th Yr HS Students.)
The memorandum states that "To give sufficient time for comprehensive career guidance to HS students before they enter the tertiary level, the DepEd through the NETRC shall administer the SY 2011- 2012 NCAE which is move from Aug 31, 2011 to Sept 28, 2011 as stated in the enclosure of DepED Order No. 28 S 2011." It will be given to the following 3rd yr HS as an amendment to DepED Memo No. 270 S 2007 and b. 4th Yr Hs student - applicants of CHED and TESDA scholarship Programs.
In this connection, DepED issues the following guidelines:
a. Consider the top 10% student from each Secondary HS regardless of the school size.
b. These students should have a GWA of 80% in the 3rd Yr and should come from family whose gross annual income is P300,000 or below.
c. A letter of intent signed by the parents of the examinees must be submitted signifying that they are interested to apply for the CHED/TESDA Scholarship.
d. Interested 4th Yr student, out of school youth and A & E Test passers can take the test provicded that their requirements in item b are met.
e. The deadine of submission of the enrolment data through email address depednetrc@yahoo.com.
