Central Visayas officials intend to deal with the classroom lack in the region with the Department of Education (DepEd)’s budget in 2012, the greatest ever appropriated for the division.

DepEd 7 Director Recaredo Borgonia expressed confidence that class room shortages will be addressed before the full implementation of the new basic training program.

He said the particular DepEd next year will work on a P234-billion budget, which is more than the P214 billion initially proposed by the agency.

”Congress saw the need to increase DepEd’s budget,” Borgonia said.

The particular DepEd’s budget this year has been P207 billion.
